Este artigo \u00e9 resultado de pesquisa de campo que utiliza no tratamento dos dados recursos da an\u00e1lise de conte\u00fado propostos por Bardin (2016) para compreender o pensamento dos caciques da Terra Ind\u00edgena (TI) M\u00e3e Maria, povo ind\u00edgena Gavi\u00e3o, sobre os direitos dos povos ind\u00edgenas esculpidos na Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o da Rep\u00fablica Federativa do Brasil (CRFB\/1998), o que os caciques entendem pela palavra direito e como percebem os direitos que lhes s\u00e3o atribu\u00eddos na Carta Constitucional. Os dados foram constitu\u00eddos a partir de entrevista semiestruturada com caciques de 12 aldeias da TI M\u00e3e Maria a partir de duas quest\u00f5es geradoras sobre o que os caciques entendem por direito e o que pensam sobre os direitos dos povos ind\u00edgenas assegurados na Carta da Rep\u00fablica. Os resultados mostram que os caciques enxergam com desconfian\u00e7a os direitos ind\u00edgenas previstos na Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Federal Brasileira de 1988, pois percebem grande lacuna entre o que est\u00e1 escrito na constitui\u00e7\u00e3o e os direitos a que realmente t\u00eam acesso, associando a palavra direito \u00e0 luta por melhorias para o seu povo.<\/p>\n
This article is a result of field research, in which we use in processing of data content analysis resources proposed by Bardin (2016) to understand the thought of caciques of M\u00e3e Maria indigenous land, Gavi\u00e3o Indigenous People, about the rights of the indigenous peoples carved in the Brazilian Constitution of 1988 (BC\/1998), what the caciques understand by the word right and how they perceive the rights that are attributed to him in the Constitutional Charter. The data were constituted from a semi-structured interview with caciques from 12 villages of M\u00e3e Maria Indigenous Land, based on two generators questions about what the caciques understand by right and what they think about the rights of the indigenous peoples assured in the Charter of the Republic. The results show that the caciques sighted with suspicion the indigenous rights provided for in the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988, because they perceive a large chasm between what is written in the Constitution and the rights that it really have access, associating the word right with the fight for improvements for your people.<\/p>\n
