Neste texto, ser\u00e3o apresentadas algumas reflex\u00f5es acerca das implica\u00e7\u00f5es de um processo de aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o dos Kalapalo em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao \u2018mundo dos brancos\u2019. O foco est\u00e1 principalmente na abertura de uma estrada ligando a aldeia Aiha (localizada na margem direita do rio Culuene) ao munic\u00edpio de Quer\u00eancia, Mato Grosso, e na cria\u00e7\u00e3o de um ponto de conex\u00e3o com a internet, na mesma aldeia. Ambos os processos est\u00e3o diretamente relacionados \u00e0 amplia\u00e7\u00e3o do fluxo de dinheiro na aldeia, principalmente por meio das pol\u00edticas previdenci\u00e1rias e de transfer\u00eancia de renda, e v\u00eam produzindo significativas transforma\u00e7\u00f5es no cotidiano do local desde meados de 2018. O argumento central do texto \u00e9 de que esses elementos \u2013 o dinheiro, a estrada e a internet \u2013 possibilitam aos Kalapalo a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de conex\u00f5es espa\u00e7o-temporais, aproximando territ\u00f3rios e pessoas antes desconectados. Esse movimento, ao mesmo tempo que amplia as possibilidades de experimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de outros modos de vida, garante, em alguma medida, a configura\u00e7\u00e3o de uma no\u00e7\u00e3o de \u2018boa dist\u00e2ncia\u2019 em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao mundo n\u00e3o ind\u00edgena.<\/p>\n
This paper examines some of the implications of a process of rapprochement between the Kalapalo and the \u201cworld of white people,\u201d focusing mainly on the construction of a road connecting the Aiha village (on the right bank of the Culuene River) with the municipality of Quer\u00eancia, Mato Grosso, and the creation of an internet connection point in the same village. Both processes are directly related to the growing flow of money into the village, mainly through social security policies (pensions) and cash transfer programs, and have significantly transformed daily life in the village since mid-2018. We suggest that these elements (money, the road, and the internet) allow the Kalapalo to create and establish new spatiotemporal connections, bringing together territories and previously disconnected people. While this can offer chances to experiment with other ways of life, to a certain extent this movement guarantees the establishment of the notion of \u201cgood distance\u201d from the non-indigenous world.<\/p>\n
