After two decades, Mr. Edmilson fulfilled his dream of returning to his former settlement in Terra do Meio (PA), with his wife Mrs. Elisa. The expedition toured the Pardo River, where he and other rubber tappers worked rubber, chestnut, and other forest products in the 1980s. Mr. Edmilson's trajectory represents the history of the Amazonian way of life that originated from the rubber tappers occupation in the region. At 81, he struggles to retake the use of resources from his territory.
