Indigenous Blood: Not a Single Drop More
Descrição
Between October 17 and November 20, the campaign "Indigenous Blood: Not a Single Drop More" will be held, led by Brazilian indigenous leaders, who will travel through 12 European countries denouncing the serious violations against indigenous peoples and the environment of Brazil, which has been occurring systematically since the inauguration of President Jair Bolsonaro in January this year. The envisaged countries on the route include Italy, Vatican, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Portugal and Spain. Held by the Brazil's Indigenous Peoples Articulation (APIB), in partnership with civil society organizations, the event aims to promote measures that pressure the Brazilian Government to comply with environmental preservation agreements and respect for the rights of indigenous peoples, of which the Brazil is a signatory, for example, the Paris Agreement, Convention 169 - which guarantees Free, Prior and Informed Consultation - and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. To carry out the agenda, the leaders will visit political and religious authorities and leaders, MEPs, International Cooperation Bodies, businessmen, international courts, universities, activists, environmentalists, artists and influencers in all countries. The delegation will be composed by Sonia Guajajara, Alberto Terena, Angela Kaxuyana, Celia Xakriabá, Dinaman Tuxá, Elizeu Guarani Kaiowá and Kretã Kaingang.
